Dr. Sheila Stewart
Meet Dr. Sheila Stewart, a pioneering researcher at Siteman Cancer Center whose groundbreaking work is uncovering how aging influences cancer development, progression, and response to treatment. Dr. Stewart received one of the very first Pedal the Cause research grants in 2010, the inaugural year Pedal began funding cancer research. Since then, Pedal’s investment has helped fuel innovative ideas that might not have been possible through traditional funding sources, enabling her research to progress from foundational discoveries to promising clinical trials that are bringing new hope to patients.
