Top Fundraisers
Pedal the Cause participants who are ready to lead the charge against cancer can commit to becoming a Top Fundraiser at registration, or earn this honor by reaching the levels below by October 31. Top Fundraisers are our most impactful group of supporters, consistently raising more than half of Pedal the Cause’s total donation year after year. Along the way, each level unlocks exclusive gifts and perks as a thank you for the impact you are making.
Lifetime IMpact Societies
Individuals and teams can earn membership into our Lifetime Impact Societies based on how much they have raised over their entire history participating in Pedal the Cause.

Dan and Sheila Timm Breakaway Award
Pedal the Cause created the Dan & Sheila Timm Breakaway Award in 2021 to annually honor an individual whose passion, leadership and extraordinary efforts to create a world without cancer have fostered the spirit of innovation and hope, while empowering positive change in the lives of those faced with a cancer diagnosis.
2026 Recipients Team Bartlett's Bikers
Since Pedal the Cause’s very first year in 2010, Team Bartlett’s Bikers has been an inspiring force within the Pedal community, bringing together patients, physicians, researchers, families and supporters around one shared mission. Over 16 years, the team has raised more than $1.1 million for cancer research, making them the 4th most impactful team in Pedal history.
Led by Dr. Nancy Bartlett, a nationally recognized lymphoma specialist and longtime Top Fundraiser, Team Bartlett’s Bikers embodies the spirit of the Dan and Sheila Timm Breakaway Award through their passion, leadership and unwavering commitment to changing the future of cancer care. Alongside co-captain and Pedal-funded researcher Dr. Neha Mehta-Shah, longtime rider and Living Proof Bob Virgil, and countless dedicated teammates and supporters, the team continues to demonstrate what’s possible when a community comes together with purpose.
