CarShield and Fitz’s Root Beer have teamed up to support St. Louis nonprofit Pedal the Cause and their mission to create a world without cancer by funding cancer research that is leading to more effective early detection and prevention methods, and better treatments and cures for all cancers. Starting on Friday August 2, while supplies last, purchase Fitz’s limited edition CarShield Drive On Root Beer at one of their two St. Louis locations or online, and proceeds will be donated to Pedal the Cause.
“Fitz’s has been a proud supporter of Pedal the Cause since 2012,” said Michael Alter, owner and president of Fitz’s Root Beer. “Funding cancer research is so critical, which is why we give back and why I personally ride every year. Pedal the Cause is a St. Louis organization that is making real impact in the fight against cancer, and we are very proud to partner with CarShield to support their mission of creating a world without cancer.”
“CarShield is proud to partner with Fitz’s Root Beer to support Pedal the Cause,” said Jason Miazza, chief marketing officer of CarShield. “Cancer touches us all, and we’re grateful for organizations like Pedal the Cause that take the lead in assisting vital cancer research. We’re excited to contribute to this important cause and have a team of riders participating for the first time.”
“Pedal the Cause is all about creating community around our shared passion to end cancer,” said David Drier, executive director of Pedal the Cause. “The St. Louis business community never ceases to amaze us, and we are so appreciative to have this support from our generous long-time partner Fitz’s Root Beer and our new friends at CarShield. The Drive On Root Beer represents a new way to get involved and support the important work we do at Pedal the Cause. We are thrilled to see another community connection made around our shared goal.”
Pedal the Cause, presented by Edward Jones, is one of the top-ten largest cause-related cycling events in the country, celebrating its fifteenth year in 2024 with an exciting lineup of cycling and community events.
