Pedal the Cause is pleased to announce the return of Eleanor Goedeke as their Director of Communications & Marketing. Eleanor held the role from 2016 – 2021, leading marketing and communication efforts during a period of tremendous growth and innovation for the organization. In her two years away, Eleanor served as the Director of Marketing & Communication at the Maryland Chamber of Commerce in Annapolis, Maryland.
“I am absolutely thrilled to rejoin this incredible and impactful team, working towards a mission that is very personal for me,” said Eleanor.
“I was honored to be part of the evolution of Pedal the Cause in my previous five years on staff, from a small bike ride to local institution. I know I have much more to contribute as our impact and reach only continues to deepen.”
Pedal the Cause is one of the top-ten largest peer-to-peer cycling experiences in the country, having donated over $40 million since 2010 to fund the best and brightest ideas in cancer research. 100 percent of participant-raised funds support innovative, early-stage cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and Siteman Kids at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. To date, Pedal the Cause has funded 200 cancer research projects – 155 adult and 45 pediatric.
“Eleanor has proven herself an experienced marketing and communications leader who drives results,” said David Drier, executive director of Pedal the Cause. “The entire team welcomes her back with open arms. Together with the Pedal family, we are poised for unparalleled success in 2023 as we deepen our role in the cancer eco-system of our region.”
Pedal the Cause 2023 will take place Sept. 23 & 24 in Chesterfield. Registration opens on March 1, 2023.
