Top Fundraisers
Pedal the Cause participants who are ready to lead the charge against cancer can commit to becoming a Top Fundraiser at registration, or earn this honor by reaching the levels below by October 31. Top Fundraisers are our most impactful group of supporters, consistently raising more than half of Pedal the Cause’s total donation year after year. Along the way, each level unlocks exclusive gifts and perks as a thank you for the impact you are making.
Lifetime IMpact Societies
Individuals and teams can earn membership into our Lifetime Impact Societies based on how much they have raised over their entire history participating in Pedal the Cause.

Dan and Sheila Timm Breakaway Award
Pedal the Cause created the Dan & Sheila Timm Breakaway Award in 2021 to annually honor an individual whose passion, leadership and extraordinary efforts to create a world without cancer have fostered the spirit of innovation and hope, while empowering positive change in the lives of those faced with a cancer diagnosis.
2025 Recipient Dr. Ryan Fields
Ryan has been a force within the Pedal the Cause community — a 3x Pedal-funded researcher, 5x Podium Fundraiser, 11x rider and fundraiser and Pedal Board Member. As the founding team captain of Our Mark on Melanoma, he has helped raise over $362,000 with his team, contributing to an impactful $257,671 in personal lifetime fundraising.
Ryan’s dedication to our mission has always gone above and beyond, in every way that matters. As he departs St. Louis to begin an exciting new chapter at the University of Rochester, we’re grateful to know he’ll keep returning each September to ride and raise with us. Thank you, Ryan, for the passion and the legacy you've built. You inspire us all!
