Weather Contingency Plans
PTC will make best efforts to keep all events on schedule despite less-than-ideal weather conditions, however, participant safety will be the primary concern for all decisions. PTC will keep riders and volunteers informed about weather decisions via multiple communication tools. This plan defines inclement weather as anywhere from light to heavy rain. In the event of severe weather (thunderstorm/tornado), leaders should refer to the Severe Weather Plan. While this plan assumes a phased approach to cancellation, leaders will do what makes the most sense given the forecast. Visit https://pedalthecause.org/weather/ to learn more.
