Pedal the Cause Announces $5,042,167 Raised for Cancer Research in 2025

November 21, 2025

At the Impact Bash on November 20, 2025, co-sponsored by ARCO and HOK, Pedal the Cause revealed it raised $5,042,167 in 2025 to fund innovative cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and Siteman Kids at St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

This year’s Impact Bash, held at 4 Hands at The District in Chesterfield, brought together hundreds of supporters, researchers, and survivors to celebrate the collective impact of the Pedal the Cause community—now totaling more than $56 million since 2010.

“Every dollar raised by our participants directly fuels new discoveries that lead to better treatments and ultimately, cures,” said David Drier, Executive Director of Pedal the Cause. “Our incredible community continues to grow and to prove that when St. Louis comes together, we can have meaningful and lasting impact in the fight against cancer. Together, we are fueling hope and saving lives.”

A Record of Impact

On September 20–21, thousands of riders, volunteers, and supporters gathered at the Family Arena in St. Charles for the sixteenth annual Pedal the Cause. Because Pedal maintains a 100% model, every participant-raised dollar directly supports cancer research. To date, Pedal the Cause has funded 255 research projects198 adult and 57 pediatric—at Siteman Cancer Center and Siteman Kids. These early-stage “seed” grants allow researchers to test new ideas that often grow into clinical trials and national grants. Within five years of investment, each Pedal dollar leverages an additional $14 from outside funding sources, creating over half a billion dollars in cancer research impact for the St. Louis region.

“The tens of millions of dollars raised by Pedal the Cause since 2010 have launched multiple new approaches that have reduced the burden of cancer on our patients,” said Timothy J. Eberlein, MD, Director of Siteman Cancer Center. “Together, this partnership — Pedal and Siteman — is making cancer a chronic, treatable disease.”

A Community Fueled by Purpose

What began in 2010 as a grassroots bike ride has become a powerful movement uniting families, corporate partners, and survivors in the shared mission to end cancer.
